Thanks. Here’s my procedure as a pedestrian (voyeur). Groom young heifers with carrots cut in small pieces so they won’t choke. Throw over fence. Their horns are short and we become friends. After they’re grown they still come running to the fence line for more. I get to see their babies. 😉

Generous rancher tolerates visits (likes to show off his beautiful fold (not a herd, a fold if highlands) & told me about choking; they’ll try and eat carrots all at once). They bring me great joy. Simple things for simple minds I guess.😂🤷‍♀️ They keep the young heifers from the bull till at least 2.

And then you eat them? I don't....
