I wouldn't even know where to start with getting daytime long exposure shots right. It's about cranking up the F-stop and lowering the ISO, I guess?

I also guess 🤣 gonna try this weekend in VT. YouTube University will guide me.
Yeah, I rawdogged it last night. I know I can get it right, though. V and I honeymooned in New Zealand a bunch of years back and I got these when we spent a stretch of days at a Dark Sky place. Immediate settings difference I see here: MUCH lower ISO. 1600 vs. 6400 + some 10000 last night.
Those are incredible!
Right??? Haha thank you! It was 1000% luck and fiddling with settings, make no mistake. But yeah man! I want to be able to do stuff like this here at home, without having to travel to the literal other side of the planet!
There's some really helpful advice here. Lots of good stuff to bring into the next outing. ISO was definitely set too high, this camera could've done 1600 easily. My kit lens (18-55mmF2.8-4) wide open with no zoom also would've been a better pick than the prime lens (23mmF2) I used.
Oooh nice. I’ll check this out for sure.
What do you shoot with?
Crappy old Nikon D3200
