Thanks. Makes sense. Hematologist/oncologist that I am, I thought he might have been anticoagulated for pulmonary emboli from deep venous thromboses. But why would that make him disappear from sight?

Not necessarily bilateral DVT (although possible, especially if for some reason he had a hypercoagulable condition. But with venous bilateral venous insufficiency a unilateral clot might form.

Could be a thombectomy but those ankles scream CHF. Could be going after an COPD embolism with a braided retriever and thrombectomy with 2 balloons. So many companies and options out there. It's all just polymers and NiTiNOL
