Access to health care makes people more pro social. Rural hospital closure increase rep share of vote by as much as 10 percent. Closing a hospital doesn't own the cons - opening a community college and clinic with gender affirming care does
I was agreeing with you - the post you quoted is the terrible take. I don't want rural hospitals to close, or for anyone to go without healthcare - I just don't see how those services are going to stay open given the Republicans' funding cuts. States can't make up the shortfall in time.

They are not advocating closing hospitals! The hospitals are closing because of Republicans now. They are saying that when we start rebuilding after all the Republicans hospital closures, that rurals get no priority.
