Dc is a federal district. We have city laws and 1 jail, but our prisoners go to prison across the country. I do t think there are any federal laws for things like theft...she sets the guidelines fir prosecution a d sentence cing but judges usually have the final call

Technically she is supposed to follow DC law but recently she told courts to STOP criminalizing carrying rifles publicly as felonies. People who have illegal guns considered rifles are being taken off probation. Opposite of public safety
