Obama was against LGBT rights once as well, and made a lot of terrible choices. You think Obama, the person who put all those protections in that Trump is reversing, the one who advocated for immigration… didn’t change his position on things?

And if you don’t believe people can change, you are still mentally a child. I used to be anti-LGBT, and grew up with racist tendencies. Now, I’ve come out as nonbinary, immigrated to a foreign country, and live a much better life overall. But that takes work.

We can guide ignorance from a lack of knowledge. We can’t solve the problem of people who decide to be ignorant solely so they can go on hating people they don’t agree with.

Since you're not actively crashing out and posting "gender critical" talking points, I'll try to give the reasons with citations. On March 6th, he had a get together with Charlie Kirk - not a great guy - and said "I'm not wrestling with the fairness issue (in relation to trans athletes) 🧵

He said multiple times during that interview and later ones, as early as last month on the 23rd that "The most damaging thing to Harris' campaign was her support of (trans people)" and when talking on Trump's ad he said: “Then you had the video as a validator. Brutal,” 🧵

He's said one of his inspirations is Bill Maher and how he "Finds common ground with conservatives... especially on the trans issue." (Cited Feburary 28th 2025) In May he slashes 17 million from LBTQ+ women and non-binary health care programs. Saying "some need to sacrifice for the budget" 🧵

There's a ton of little things, like purposefully calling a gay man a woman and telling him to "cut it off already" over on Twitter. While I don't care for Scott Presler, this is kinda fucked up. There's a lot of indicators that if someone told him he could get 1% in the vote, he'd sell us out.

This is what I don’t get. We are in an authoritarian occupation. I understand Newsom has not been completely aligned with trans rights, although IMO it’s political posturing, but regardless this has nothing to do w/2028 right now. We are at a moment where we knock fascism straight on its face…
