I still want to know the full story of GT PSP. That was a huge disappointment.

Yeah they made such an awesome portable engine with lots of content...but nothing to do
YouTube just recommended that old DF Retro Extra where you go over the E3 this was presented at. 6 years ago is wild, you’ve come so far.
I only recently learned that the demo disc got a physical release in Japan.
That's freaking awesome! Thanks for sharing!
TIL, just like I only recently learned Gran Turismo 2000 got a demo disc (that one is fascinating to me, but now I gotta look up GTHD!)
I have the GT 2000 disc in a box somewhere. Very interesting piece of gaming history there.
For various reasons there were LOTS of interesting beta and promotional Gran Turismo builds which only came out as promotional demo discs. Now collectors items.
are you making part iii of your gran turismo reminiscence, my man?
PD might the most TV technological standards enthusiast studio I know of
if only we had one more, or even a half-gen that targeted 480p, but with all the modern niceties that came with pixel shaders etc. I do remember watching this conference as a naive 10 year old with my brothers and believing it could never get better than this though, even with the old car models.
One day the E3 2006 build with motorbikes will leak #believe
I still remember downloading ‘HD’ videos directly from the PS3 store and watching them on my shiny, 32’ Samsung HD TV bought in early 2007 alongside the PSTriple. Good times.
Woooo, you just took me back! I would download videos from the PS3 store as well, just to see what they looked like. Sooo long ago lol
I still do! I'm gonna do that for Mario Kart World because it's gonna take Nintendo many many months to put it on the Music app.
It took me 3 days each to record everything from GT5, GT6 and GT Sport...🫠
I remember when I did the soundtrack recording for R&CF: A Crack in Time and it took me a couple weeks, maybe even an entire month. Much of it is because I need to end RIGHT on cue. It's easier nowadays because Insomniac's engine includes the cutscenes with its volume controls!
I just used the in-game player and Audacity to trim out the blank. However for games like GTHD and GT5P, there is no player, so songs would play at random, and you have to stay there and make sure to hit the record and stop buttons!💀
Yup haha. With Ratchet I would use the slow-motion cheat so that certain tracks that don't play in full otherwise
What was your set up for this? RCA out to the Line In on your computer? Optical out?
I would only use SPDIF.
Streamed at home in 480i
That HD Concept XMB Music became my bgm for a long time. So chill. PS3 XMB - Gran Turismo HD Concept (Unique Intro Version) youtu.be/SZefw5ad30A
