Been a long time since i’ve had to think about a T1! And even a T3.. We didn’t have either in Australia..

We had ISDN BRI (128Kbit) and ISDN PRI (1.544 Mbit). And Telstra Megalinks (2Mbit)

That's crazy, I had no idea that didn't exist in Australia. Nothing comparable either? Europe got a similar service with E-carrier systems.

PRIs were comparable I suppose. But not the same type of system (i.e equipment would be non compatible etc). @markrprior.mrp.net would probably remember details.. I remember unis (regional ones) having 48kbit links..

We had E1 and E3 like Europe. Also when we got or first AS5300 boxes cisco had to ship T1/E1 converters since their original cards were US T1 based.

Also the original inter capital links were 48k then they got upgraded to 2M.
