I think it is much more likely to come from other Americans (most likely Trump cultists) than Canadians, French, Danes, or other allies.

I think that's going to depend on how aggressive we get with the rest of the world. If we simply isolate ourselves, they will rebuild their economies without us. If we go full Nazi Germany, then they will be forced to bomb us back into reality, likely ending civilization as we know it.
