Definitely. He made me a crossbow when I was 6 and I had a 20bore shotgun at 10. Didnt do me any harm at all.

The apprentices at a company where I worked made a crossbow using a vehicle leaf spring as the bow. And yes the projectile hit the target and went clean through the brick wall.

I’d hold the wooden limb with my feet to pull the cable. Probably far too powerful for a 6 year old me.

Fab. That’s some ingenuity. Mine wooden and he cast the arrowheads and made the arrows. It would go through a biscuit tin packed full of newspaper. I remember making targets for it.
