Something I find fascinating is that when trains come frequently enough, people will take the train that leaves a few minutes later instead of the packed one that leaves now.

I always take the first and most packed one, so it’s interesting to see people do the opposite of me.

Sometimes I’d like to sit and I can wait 2 or 4 minutes. Also, move to the ends of the platform sine distribution usually follows a bell shaped curve.

I usually wait. SkyTrain typically comes every few minutes.

I tended to avoid crowded trains since the pandemic, and I do the same now if I know there’s a train after that’s departing not too late after.. if there’s a place I need to be or if the next train is 15+ mins away, I’ll take the crowded one leaving

It's much easier to accept the "there's a train directly behind us, stand clear of the doors" pleas from the conductor when you know they aren't lying (they are frequently lying lol)
