Another example: NABU detective Anton Oliinyk was suspended over a traffic accident caused by negligence – something completely unrelated to his work. The accident happened in 2023 – what influence could he possibly have on the case in 2025?

And then there’s the SBU wiretap video on detective Magamedrasulov: the subtitles say the technical cannabis came from Dagestan, but the recording itself mentions Uzbekistan.
And finally, this draft law – pushed through and adopted in one day. Why the rush? Because NABU got too close to some people who are close to the Office. All of this feels like nothing but a convenient excuse.
But there is this. Not sure about the source etc though. empr.media/news/ukraine...
This is what I fear those who are against Zelenskyy’s actions are failing to acknowledge. The agencies have been infiltrated by the FSB. Zelenskyy knew this and took control from them to prevent Russia from having a say in anti-corruption. Too many Ukrainians do not understand the rationale.
This type of rationale is faulty, at best. If an issue like that is identified, clean out the organization, or create a new one, with trusted personnel. Do not pull the functions into and under the political control that the org was supposed to monitor in the first place.
Faulty? You have evidence Zelenskyy is acting against Ukraine’s interests? His measures are essential to neutralize the FSB agents. Change to the agencies will come down the road. For now, he had to render them ineffective. It saddens me Ukrainians would turn on the only man trying to save Ukraine.
Your argument for justifying is faulty, irrelevant of Zelenskyys intention. The "measure" doesn't neutralize anything either, which is evident by the national and international backlash. Especially for Ukraine it is critical to keep allies informed, upfront before doing these things.
Something not done, as this was pushed in hours. And as the backlash is harsh, we are now promised a solution within 2 weeks. Something that with benefit would been communicated up front.
And, as is core of the problem, one does not create solutions that opens doors for corruption, especially in a country with history of it. Solve it by solidly solve it by excluding the option.
On top of this, SBU has been plagued by high ranking spies and unfaithful servants. In that case, one solves by cleaning up. Same issue, complete opposite solution. Just shutting the door on an org that the people believes in, causes harm. Especially when one doesn't inform first.
