With the Game Boy celebrating its 36th birthday recently, let's not forget those that dared to take it on in battle. Some more successfully than others I will add! If you didn't have a Game Boy, what did you have? Game Gear? Lynx? .... Supervision?

I wanted a Game Boy, but received a Game Gear. Wasn’t bad but definitely not as good as Game Boy in my opinion. Year later I’d get a Game Boy Advance SP - my favorite handheld.

As well as a GB, I had an Atari Lynx MK1. I mainly used it on an adapter rather than batteries, but the games were great with some excellent ports like Toki

Prior to buying one a few years ago, it was easy to be cynical about the Lynx. Having owned one for a few years, I love it. Such a powerful machine with some great games. Deserved to do better.
