Some half-wits in Dorchester have painted one of our mini-roundabouts with the cross of St George. Except they only managed three of the four lines, so it's the T of St George.

When I was learning to drive in Dorch (>40 yrs ago) there was only the "Top o' Town" roundabout. The Hardye's School religious education teacher got fined and points for going round it the wrong way. Was something he "had always wanted to do".

Yes, the traffic queues through town would stretch for miles on a holiday weekend. Lots of over heated cars needing water for radiators when I worked pumping petrol up at Bere Regis Motors just past the RAB.

and now the traffic queues stretch for miles through the town and round the bypass. Plus ca change. Not so many radiators needing water these days, but I suspect more accidents, as drivers see a tiny stretch of open road and put pedal to metal.
