Government funds parties, no donations above $x. Mandatory voting. Preferential voting. Outlaw gerrymandering. Job done.

Like get away from institutionalization of political parties. But it feels fantastical to think could not have them.
Not sure familiar with preferential voting. Different than ranked choice?
Same thing I think?
Ownership of residential property for investment should be heavily regulated. Instead of massive cities, we should concentrate on high-speed rail between satellite centres of a reasonable size.
Also, mining companies should pay into a trust to cover land rehab. A proportion of all resources should be reserved for the public, to be sold/used by them. Bailout money from the government implies ownership. Core services (power, water, rail, health etc) should be govt owned and operated.
Just one more thing (he says sounding like Columbo), we also need to amend laws so that the management of companies face consequences. Currently they are legally mandated to effectively do whatever it takes to increase shareholder value, and enjoy broad protections from the fallout.
