Exactly! Tim may have pulled a fast one and given nothing of any real consequence, similar to what Canada did, but it all still reinforces for Trump that his approach "works" and that he can get away with it.

No one is arguing that Apple should be paying hundreds of billions of tariffs to reimport the glass screens of their phones. Police opposition does nothing to prevent that; Courts are, at best, fellating the guy. Tim Cook found a way to avoid paying undue taxes, not commit genocide.

Apple still has its DEI initiatives on their website, www.apple.com/diversity/ they haven’t caved to the FBI and given them the ability to unlock migrants’ phones. They are holding a lot better than any administration who either quit in protest, leaving the field clear for extremists, or caved.
