It's literally a method to trick people who weren't interested in a video into clicking on it by making it look like a new video. And i'm sorry but i'm against dark patterns, even when creators I like use them.
youtube already very obviously hates everyone who uses its platform & what I needed wasn't creators to hop in and let me know they hate me too. I'm sure that's not the intent, but it makes it maddening to navigate in a coherent manner.
I agree with everything you just said. It's exhausting, and I wish there was a good alternative to YT that didn't encourage all this weird behavior from creators, and was easier for the users to use, and didn't have 1000 different bugs/glitches, and hey maybe it could have some customer service?
