I will never forget being told that I had to have the Condo Maintenance people replace the battery in my smoke detector despite me having just replaced it and they accidentally put in a nearly dead battery from another unit and took my good one with them so I had to replace it again a week later.
I mean, I get it, I really do. I understand that them doing replacements is a safety thing and I'm all for it, but this was the second time they'd installed a used battery!
That is bullshit.
It was really poor service and so goddamn annoying. Thankfully I had the 9v in my tool drawer, but still!
