Not an ex-pat here, but I'd like to point out that F and MA are good meeting locations as these two cities are easy to reach by train - unless DB lets you down.

'MA' on number plates stands for Mannheim, the most important train hub in the south. Lots of convenient connections. The centre isn't terribly pretty, but HD (Heidelberg) is just an S-Bahn ride away.

I’m tempted to offer to host for HD/MA but I have surgery I’m trying to schedule and that the only thing preventing me from saying yes. I don’t have enough certainty for the next few months.
