Thinking it isn't so much the new logo as a new CEO trying to be more inclusive. In the '90s, Cracker Barrel was discriminatory enough that they had consent decrees. To their credit, they tried to clean up their act, be welcoming and did some DEI...

It's a place with country food, a big front porch with rocking chairs and a country store and the old logo celebrated that (nothing wrong with any of that) and my thought is that they want to push back against the inclusion and this is an easier way to go after them.

Personal opinion: Logos should be clean, simple and easily reproduced in black-and-white. The old logo sucked and needed refreshing. The new logo still sucks.

Nah. Rebranding can be a response to lagging sales, but that’s not always the case. CB has just blown $100M in stock value by ignoring what their customer base wants - nostalgia for the romanticized past sells, and it’s literally at the core of the MAGA cult. Of course they’re losing their minds.

This is so emblematic of the depravity of MAGA. Cracker Barrel is an all-American company, probably employs 100k people, mostly in rural, red state areas. The company fully embodies MAGA culture. Doesn’t matter. MAGA gets bored, decides to destroy the brand to entertain themselves on a random Thurs.
