GRAND JURY NULLIFICATION! Prosecutors Fail to Secure Indictment Against Man Who Threw Sandwich at Federal Agent www.nytimes.com/2025/08/27/u...
GRAND JURY NULLIFICATION! Prosecutors Fail to Secure Indictment Against Man Who Threw Sandwich at Federal Agent www.nytimes.com/2025/08/27/u...
(Though, to be fair, there's no way this actually met the threshold for a felony.)
Yeah, I wouldn’t call it nullification - just the grand jury doing its job.
I wouldn’t call it jury nullification where, as a matter of black letter law, the defendant simply did not do what they are accused of.
That hasn't really stopped prosecutors from getting an indictment before...
Then why did you say nullification!
And to be honest, if they got a judge who aligns with donold, that sandwich throwing hero would in Sudan or El Salvador
Or "assault".
More like "with salt."
🤣
It was assault with a breadly weapon!!! (I’ll see myself out.)
He beat the wrap
You’re in my tribe now. Welcome.
please follow back
🤣🤣
😂😂😂
Just saying there was some REALLY sharp cheddar in there...
(You’re coming with me)
Puntastic!!!
👏
🤣🤣🤣🤣
That is my FAVORITE gif!!!!
He really got out of that legal pickle. It was a bum wrap. (Also, seeing myself out.)
I have a table in hell if anyone wants to stop by for drinks. Bring ice.
Not ICE!!!! It better be a long table.
Right?! Absolutely insane choices all round, including sending *20 armed law enforcement officers in riot gear* to his home after he’d already tried to turn himself in.
So not actually nullification, but refusal to unfairly indict. Nullification is when the facts and law support guilt.
If prosecutors are seeking convictions instead of justice, they shouldn't be prosecutors.
So what happens when the 30 days are up? Does Trump just declare a new emergency at the start of each month? I thought the Home Rule law was that after 30 days they would have to have Congress approve it. And it would seem like a "national emergency" of sandwich throwing could surely be challenged.
Right, that's what I was going to say. The grand jury really just did its job here.
Guess that’s a wrap….
That was my immediate thought. This was actually the grand jury doing precisely what the grand jury is supposed to do.
Therefore not in fact jury nullification.
Yeah this wasn't nullification so much as the grand jury looking at the evidence and the charge.
When has that ever stopped them?
You would think that DOJ would eventually get the message.
They can't. The one thing a cult leader can never, EVER survive is admitting they were wrong. This extends to their subordinates in the cult hierarchy as well. It's also why they'll keep going after Kilmar Abrego Garcia until he's either deported to the Moon or dead.
They can never, EVER admit that they were wrong about anything because their infallibility is that one wobbly piece at the bottom of their cultists' mental jenga towers.
The message is, "Our actions may be invalid, but we'll still go out of our way to harass those who express dissent."
Nope. Cruelty is their feature.
not if their goal is to waste time and exhaust the people fighting them
Defendants lie at home on the couch and eat delicious sandwiches during grand jury proceedings. They’re wasting their own resources and annoying judges with this. They just don’t know how this works. Misdemeanor assault would be slam dunk here.
But a misdemeanor they might win doesn't send THE MESSAGE they want to send. So they get all dumb and swing for the fence. Luckily regular people on grand juries and the court of public opinion see through their bullshit.
If these assholes think everyone will just get tired and give up, they need to look up the concept of “weaponized autism.” ASD Gang ain’t never gonna give. Were like fuckin’ Dr Strange against Dormammu.
Not prosecuting cases they couldn't win used to be one of their unwritten rules.🤷♂️
Spite is how I personally go on with this timeline
That's exactly it - they can generate this shit with AI and watch you running around putting out fires for hardly any effort on their own part - it's not like they care about rules or laws, or court injunctions, or penalties for infraction. Who knew America owned so many brown shirts?
I think the capacity of the oppressed for wasting time and exhausting the people fighting them is much greater.
This cannot be understated. The process is the punishment. Sure, you aren't guilty of a crime, but fighting it might bankrupt you or cost you your job. They lose, but you have to rebuild your life, so they win in the end. And they can do it to anyone.
…and to distract. They count on the base to never fact-check or follow-up once the red meat has been consumed. They are correct in that belief.😡
Was it a red meat sandwich tho
Salami. Not the ham sandwich that any grand jury would indict according to long standing legal thinking.
Probably pinko.

Oh, the base is blaming the Dems as usual for being "soft on crime". I JUST thought of a comeback for the comment section for the MSN article on this not working. I should have said "not SOFT but maybe Sourdough or Wheat".
Christians don’t question. It’s anathema to their evil religion.
Hand, meet glove! 👋🧤
who can afford meat any more
that was literally how Tucker Carlson put his shows together! Start with a lie, then roll with it for the rest of the episode acting as if it was true. But then end of the show people are so worked up they don't think to even look at the first little bit.
He did lose his DoJ job...
It's a disinformation tactic I call the poison seed. Make a reasonable sounding argument but start with disinformation as your premise. People will tend to focus on the reasonable sounding argument and ignore the faulty premise it's based on.
the Haitians are eating pets thing comes to mind
Yes. Critical-thinking is not abundant…especially when all you care about is looking for someone/anyone to blame for whatever short-comings you may be experiencing.
It seems to be about hurting their fellow humans. I have literally heard the glitchy, mouth-breather say: I love to see the liberals crying. It's a mental disorder folks and if you can't wrap your brain around it, that's good. It means you're not a sociopath.
Conservative ideology and propaganda cannot operate without violence or a puppy to kick
That’s not conservative ideology. That’s Christian ideology. Christianity is borne out of violent, brutal, torturous murder. They then eat the human flesh and drink the human blood, in celebration of the murdered one they feast upon.
It’s the SOP.
Have you gone on TRUTH SOCIAL? The stupidity is appalling. 🙄
V-O-T-E-R F-R-A-U-D!
That suggests they are competent. They clearly aren’t.
They’re strategic…bumbling, but they still manage to fool them (although I’m guessing that the base is perfectly content with remaining willfully ignorant. Cognitive dissonance is uncomfortable, after all!!)
And money. They like to waste our money.
Yup, get a bullshit charge that won't stick... But you need a lawyer, have to deal with lost time at work or losing your job. You win the *court* case in the end, but they upended your life in the meantime. Lawfare and the Process Is The Punishment.
The goal is to normalize the presence of armed police and traumatize the people into anxiety, fear and submission.
They think certain people just existing is a crime, they won't.
Unless you consider a ham sandwich a deadly weapon (I do)
And they knew that going in. The idea is to intimidate.
I came here to say that. It's not jury nullification if they didn't prove their case (or whatever you have to do in the case of a grand jury, non-lawyer here)
Normal legal reasoning is that a "grand jury would indict a ham sandwich". Luckily this one was Salami. But can't do jury nullification in a trial if indictment-happy grand juries decide there was no crime committed and no reason for a trial. And this grand jury said there was no crime committed.
The normal, if cynical, chatter about outcomes is "A grand jury would indict a ham sandwich." Statistically, I understand from chatter, the facts imply heavy reliance on prosecutorial lead(most grand juries vote as recommended by the prosecutor). But are most legit? What % are ham sandwich cases?
A grand jury is asked if a case should go to trial. They vote Yes/No. It's extraordinarily rare for a grand jury not to hand down an indictment
And with the common statement that "A grand jury will indict a "ham sandwich" makes this even more delicious and funny. A prosecutor has to absolutely blow it to not get a grand jury indictment.
So you're saying there's a chance that they could charge the sandwich itself 😉
LOL. Given this new DOJ, I would not be shocked! More likely, they charge the guy with a misdemeanor that doesn't require grand jury indictment under federal law and use that to make his life hell.
I don't think that is actually true. Jury nullification happens, or can happen before the jury even determines if the prosecution has met it's burden, imo. [Non-lawyer here as well.]
Yeah, this wasn't actually "jury nullification". This was just a grand jury saying the prosecutors were making a reach that was absurd. They just did their job and laughed at the attempted charge. Gran Jury be like...
Maybe. "The jury's reasons may include the belief that the law itself is unjust,[4][5] ***that the prosecutor has misapplied the law in the defendant's case***...,[6]" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jury_nu...
There is that to make the case it might be actual jury nullification, but the prosecutors in DC just seem to have a hard time convincing the grand jury to indict anyone these days for lack of evidence, lying, or incompetence. Might just be a grand jury with a decent bullshit meter. Either works!
"The jury's reasons may include the belief that the law itself is unjust,[4][5] that the prosecutor has misapplied the law in the defendant's case,[6] that the punishment for breaking the law is too harsh, or general frustrations with the criminal justice system. " en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jury_nu...
3 of the above reasons are independent of the prosecution meeting it's burden. imo
What does this mean though: “Mr. Dunn is scheduled to appear next week in Federal District Court in Washington for a preliminary hearing where another magistrate judge, G. Michael Harvey, will determine if there is probable cause that a crime was committed during the sandwich-throwing incident.”
It’s from NYT and is confusing. Why would he appear before magistrate to determine probable cause if grand jury has refused to indict? Does that suggest they are pursuing different charge now?
No, PH is an alternate way of getting your charge, but the defense gets to participate and it’s public.
Thanks for explanation. Is it typical to go to this step after grand jury refuses to indict? Who would’ve requested it - defense or DOJ? I know they only have 30 days to get indictment so wasn’t sure if this was a way for either side to get to resolution in lieu of going to grand jury again.
I’m not a federal trial attorney so I don’t know how typical this is there, sorry! It’s unusual for the GJ to no-bill in the first place, but I don’t know usual next steps. The preliminary hearing was already set as a placeholder before DOJ went to the grand jury.
Thanks so much. Not a lawyer, but I feel like this admin is giving those of us paying attention an informal legal education on the fly. I’m really grateful to you & other lawyers on Bluesky who explain things to the rest of us.
So in other words it absolutely was not nullification, in fact the exact opposite and the grand jury doing its job
Nullification is a jury's job.
Yes, and it worked out great in the Civil Rights Era South
Clearly, the plates were sandwich-rated! It wasn't fighting words, it was a legitimate response to the fighting words of placing MRAPS in front of Union Station while threatening to feed people to alligators.
Wait is he just gonna walk cuz they overcharged like lunatics? Could something that wonderful actually happen?
Their goal is to instill fear
right, no way and what would john jones say? "jurors judges of law and fact" comes w some downsides, I expect, but we may be heading in that direction quod.lib.umich.edu/e/eebo2/A876...
If the facts didn't meet the threshold for a felony, I'm not sure it's technically nullification.
And we will never know.
Yet they still tried
Clearly sir, you have never had to remove a banana pepper from your eye. And what if that weapon of mass deliciousness had been tuna salad? Anaphylactic shock!
I guess that means it wasn't toasted.
If only it was a little heavier on cheese.
Felony? 🤣 They can barely get a misdemeanor out of this. No jury is going to buy a cop in full tactical gear was scared of a sandwich. Defense just has to play a clip of children throwing tomatoes at the La Tomatina festival in Spain and ask if that's also a crime. The horror!
It only BARELY meets the misdemeanor requirement, and you REALLY have to stretch it for that. It's more about the cop and DOJ being butthurt than an actual crime, but that's where we are these days.
The prosecutors need to be terminated/fired they failed to corrupt the law enough but wasted significant city resources and funds in a frivolous prosecution for personal gain.
Somehow this hasn't led to dear leader complaining about grand juries. I can't wait until *that starts*.
Surprised it hasn’t already started, they failed to secure many (any?) indictments for arrests during the LA protests.
I guess the grand jury figures a hero ain't nuthin' but a sandwich.
Arrested still shows on his record, correct? They are just trying to crush people. Ruin them financially. I can just imagine the death threats this poor man is getting. 🤢
He got away with assault with a deli weapon.
A competent prosecutor could have indicted THE SANDWICH. 🤣
Im certain they wanted to bring the sandwich maker in as an accessory
You got my mouth watering for Grey Poupon! 😛 🥪
My brain first read the yellow sign as "don't bread on me," and now I kinda want to make that sign.
i though it should say “EAT ME”
I guess you can’t indict a ham sandwich, after all.
Maybe they'd have better luck indicting the actual sandwich. 🤣
Where’s the beef?
Imagine a half million of us at the white house. With sandwiches. Extra mayo.
and now maybe he should file a lawsuit for unjustified dismissal
They can indict a ham sandwich, but not a submarine sandwich
bsky.app/profile/funm...
👊🇺🇸🥪
Love it! 😂😂😂
Outcome would have been different if the sandwich had sharp cheddar
Ironically, the prosecutor might have better luck against a ham sandwich.
*alleged federal agent
Next I want to see grand juries go full Rockwell Int’l and start issuing presentments against officials, just to make everyone’s procedural lives hell. (Make the Assize of Clarendon Great Again!)
📌
Wait, what? The case of the flying sub sammich went nowhere?! 🤣
They thought it was in the baguette, but they ended up getting rolled. How rye.
I guess the sandwich wasn't ham.
So now we know we can toss sandwiches at ICE & troops as protest. A fun event would be say a couple hundred sandwiches flying everywhere…😂😂😂
More practical in the era of the $5 Footlong. Is there any appreciable difference in the target's pain or indignity if I use a 6" sub instead?
At least with a meatball sub it will inflict laundry damage…a turkey 6” may not unless you go heavy on the mayo & mustards
What if we all show up and throw sandwiches 🤷🏽♀️
Common sense prevailed.
What? The grand jury says not...
🤭
Apparently you CAN’T get a grand jury indictment on a ham sandwich. 🤷🏻♀️
Oops!
While any decent prosecutor can get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich, this group of clowns can’t indict a subway sandwich.
Guns are real weapons not a sandwich! Results of a stupid, silly, incompetent mess of a💩Republican Administration trying to do jobs they are unqualified for following a corrupt, racist, old, senile 👿Felon whose mind is in a fantasy world & hears conversations in his dreams he thinks are real!🤬
Awesome!
A smart prosecutor knows what to ask a grand jury. Jeanine Pirro knows television and thinks you can get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich.
Ooh! We can throw sandwiches!!! 😂
Lettuce be grateful for this. It’s definitely something to be relished. The current DOJ is too stupid to ketchup. They need a swift kick in the buns.
Wasted taxpayer dollars
😂😂😂😂 “Assault with a deadly sandwich…” The officer… “It’s wrapping hit me in the chest and I’m gluten intolerant.”
Tell them “we all despise you” without saying “We all despise you.” Also, we the people should start carrying a sandwich with us at all times.
peanut butter jelly time :)
Yay!
Greatest Sandwich Hunt in History!
And that’s no bologna.
“RADICAL JURISTS SHOULD NOT BE DICTATING WHO IS GUILTY OF BLAH BLAH BLAH” Waiting for it.
A sandwich is not typically a lethal weapon, unless he was hoping the guy he threw it at was going to eat it and choke
We are at the point where if we are called to serve on a jury, we should all participate in jury nullification of every charge brought by MAGA affiliated practice. www.law.cornell.edu/wex/jury_nul...
Hopefully, more smart Americans will stop trying to get out of jury duty.
The system frankly sucks. The stipend isn't even enough to cover lunch and most companies won't pay for your time serving. The last time I was called I spent three days doing absolutely nothing.
I know that not everyone can do it. I’ve been called several times, working for different employers. They all paid for my time. Obviously, it’s not fun. Lots of things worth doing are not fun.
In Connecticut the state requires employers to grant (unpaid) time off and pays jurors $50/day. That's enough to cover lunch *and* parking. 😬
Sure. And minimum wage in California is $15. But that doesn’t mean that’s all my employer pays me.
Yeah. Hence the grimace.
And do not mention nullification as a motive, at all. Just assert there was not enough evidence that was credible.
Public is saying — get serious - quit wasting our time and $ on this fear show
I had a Subway Meatball Sub with Provolone cheese and sliced tomatoes to celebrate the auspicious occasion.
He will always be a "Hero" to me
That whole sandwich indictment was a bunch of baloney to begin with!
So you can "indict a ham sandwich" but not a guy for throwing one. Good to know!
Lmao
Legal question: Is it nullification? I thought nullification was when a jury knows the person is guilty but acquits anyhow. I think what happened here is that the evidence didn't meet the charge. Is that also considered nullification? Thanks!
Nothing is being nullified. Salami subs are trickier to indict than ham sandwiches. Perhaps Stephen Miller can testify about the officer's alpha level that might give rise to a felony charge
I’ve always thought of it as the prosecutor asking the GJ to agree that an arrested person should be charged as presented. There are a variety of reasons they might disagree, including distinguishing a food fight from assault with a deadly weapon.
I think it’s in the eye of the beholder. I don’t think it met the criteria for a felony, which wouldn’t be nullification per se, but we’ll never know if it was that and a general resistance to the takeover or not. Though we have another no bill from a July incidence that might be another data point.
Just so I understand your legal advice is I can walk up to police officers and throw sandwiches at them??? I feel like if that is not a law it should be how can police do their job if they have people throwing sandwiches at them all day? Is it all foods or just sandwiches that are exempt?
can I throw gobstoppers at them? Or watermelons from the roof? In australia once a group of aboriginal women attacked a police officer with frozen kangaroo tails, but they weren't charged because they did not find the weapon they allegedly attacked with (it was delicious).
I mean, vs the usual “will indict a ham sandwich” behavior of grand juries—although I think this might emphasize that the usual behavior of grand juries is based on somewhat sane charges
Popehat says the felony charge should have been easy because there was clear physical contact. No? He wonders if the “dipshits” decided to go with aggravated.
Even if it doesn't meet the criteria, it's entirely possible the jury didn't bother to consider that and just said "this is stupid and I got pulled into jury duty for this crap?"
They expect DOJ to spend resources on real crimes. If I was a juror that's how I'd feel - like we've ALL been victims of more serious crimes than that without any support from any justice system.
I think it might be generate resistance to this BS. Wasn’t it in Georgia or somewhere where they started out with a felony moved down to a lesser charge and lost that three times
Jury nullification is when a jury agrees that the facts support conviction, but by own biases and opinions on the facts the jury chooses not to convict. It is hard to prove, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't apply to grand juries for indictments as jeopardy is not attached. Still, calling it (+)
(+) nullification implies that the grand jury in this case may have made their decision based on opinion rather than the facts present. Trump, his sycophants, and anyone else against this decision can say this was 'nullification' and claim miscarriage of justice, when that is simply not the case.(+)
(+) So don't call it nullification, you only help do Trump's work. Not that he needs help making shit up, but still.
You have a more measured reply from Anthony already, but I read his all-caps exclamation point label as tongue-in-cheek. However if the regime continues to abuse it prosecuting power, we may well see nullification for real.
So, jury nullification is generally (illegally in most jurisdictions) argued by the defendant’s attorney in a trial in front of a petite jury. Grand jury proceedings don’t allow for arguments by the defense counsel. Therefore, you can never have jury nullification in a grand jury.
That’s not entirely accurate. scholarship.law.gwu.edu/cgi/viewcont...
I don't think so. You'd have to know the evidence they were presented with but I doubt it satisfied all the elements of a serious charge.
its not "nullification" in the classic sense. But Grand Juries usually comply with the wishes of the prosecutors presenting the "evidence" to them. But Grand Juries are now clearly rebelling against the Trump regime's abuse of power -- that they are being skeptical of claims being made.
If the sandwich hit (an illegal occupier) you must acquit! Soft foods against body armor is no crime in these “circumstances.” It is an expected occupational hazard. They put MRAPs in front of Union Station while gator-baiting. Are there IEDs in DC? No, there is creative non-violent resistance.
I too thought that was an odd word choice. Why is the NYT tiptoeing around? What are they afraid of??
I think this is mostly a joke because the felony charge here is absurd, but a grand jury could also just refuse to indict because it supported the actions of the accused. There is no way to know the reason of a particular juror or jury. Note also standard for indict vs convict.
The fifth amendment gotta love it
It was the fifth condiment that won it.
That's the one about Search & Caesar Dressing, right? I'm not required to season myself.
Didn't Bruce Willis star in that flick?
You win!
I'm just following everyone else's lead - wittiest comment thread ever
TBH anytime the "government" is defeated by a sandwich is a great time to be alive.
You love to see it.
💙👍
They need to hand him a 10 dollar dry cleaning bill and leave him the fuck alone.
The charges? Didn’t stick due to no mayo or ketchup..
Though she is a bit of a ham, her sandwich is white bread full of baloney.
Wouldn't be he first sandwich situation. They didn't call her "Meat & Cheese" in law school for nothin'
but some white bread nazi still probably stuffed her...
Except none of the meat at Subway is spit-roasted. 😲
I'd prefer the sandwich to that ugly bitch.
As someone who served on more than one jury during my days in DC. this should be absolutely fucking hysterical. DC will have none of it. Pirro will be strapping on her tiger printed bib and full throating the wine bong for Labor Day!
Why in the name of justice are they wasting time and money on this??????????
😁
It started in LA. bsky.app/profile/lemo...
"We the people . . ."
So not every Grand Jury will indict a Ham Sandwich.
So... what you're saying is. Its legal to throw sandwiches at ICE?
(this post is obviously a joke please do not assault federal officers)
The fact that they seriously thought anyone would convict a man for throwing a sandwich shows how far out of touch Trumps administration is.
This is the way.
This case had no mustard to begin with. It's a prime example of what is wrong in this country Back in the day, that cop would've just wiped the mayo off of his shirt and dismissed it as something that "comes with the job". What's next, you can't look cross-eyed at a cop? What a bunch of snowflakes
Wah, wah.😁
But, but, but…. Ham sandwich?
I guess it wasn't a 'ham sandwich' then? If someone else posted this theme...all I can say, is great minds think alike.
What an absolute waste of taxpayer $$$
It’s safe to return to Subway!! Get 25% off on the Subway Bandit Sandwich special
Waste our time and money.
Fascist kakistocracy.
judge to prosecutor: "how could i possibly justify indicting this man when you stand before me tossing salad?"
We are all grateful to you Sean. Before he threw the sandwich, the complaint asserts, Mr. Dunn stood within inches of the officer, calling him and his colleagues “fascists” and shouting, “I don’t want you in my city!”
I think what everyone is glossing over is that a good sandwich was lost in this battle
It was a Subway sandwich, so I think we can consider it an acceptable sacrifice.
Oh no you didn't!!! 😂 🤣😂🤣
fair enough
A Jersey Mike would have been a hate crime.
What legendary soothsayer predicted this would happen? Quiznostradamus.
He kept the soft cookie, though.
Wondering what kind it was
It's not like it was a Jersey Mike's sub or something like that. It's just Subway.
True, you’re not throwing your sandwich if its Mike’s way. I said it was a good sandwich, not a great sandwich.
That's true. I should be paying closer attention to nuance.
But sandwich thrower lost his job
The real crime was buying a Subway sandwich.
wat " defendants are not allowed to have their lawyers in the room as evidence is presented."
That's how grand juries have always operated. Defendants have also always been allowed to be excused to consult with their attorneys as same wait outside the grand jury chambers.
thanks
To elaborate, according to what I found on web search, grand jury proceedings are significantly different from jury trials, in that the role of the grand jury - to consider the evidence presented by the prosecution and determine if probable cause exists for indictment - is sharply distinct...
...from the role of the trial jury, which is to hear the arguments of both the prosecution and the defense & to determine if the defendant is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of the crime of which they are accused.
can't indict a ham sandwich thrower
Womp womp. Losers gonna lose
This is NOT nullification because there was no felony to begin with. Jury made the right call here. They didn't nullify anything. Nullification would have been if there WAS a felony and they dismissed it.
Does this mean we can all get subs for throwing? Will subway sell use expired bread at a discount tightly wrapped for throwing? Loosely wrapped with slippery condiments?
Laughed out of court.
Assault with a deadly sandwich.. Trump supporters are soooo painfully stupid. And it's called a food fight with one of them unarmed.
What a travesty of justice! I mean what’s the guy going to do next, use a squirt gun! Arrest anyone who thinks ICE is good!
@stephaniemiller.bsky.social @jodyhamilton.bsky.social @sgvoices4change.bsky.social @bluegirlsrule.bsky.social @arlenerios.bsky.social @transarmy.org @translash.org
We found it folks! The event where they couldn’t actually indict the ham sandwich!
you win

Yes!
A jury just doing their job! Take jury duty seriously to do this when necessary! Laid out perfectly in the great book by Paul Butler thenewpress.org/books/lets-g...
Well that's a wrap
And the Trump administration loses in court...AGAIN!
I will need to stock up on Sub sandwiches when heading out to our next protest.
I like the way you think! bsky.app/profile/5cal...
Felonious BLT remains free!
“Felonious BLT!”
Chris Christie's rapper name.
Or as another person pointed out, he beat the wrap! 😂
Was the evidence eaten or something?
Yay! Fuck Pam Bondi for even trying.
I wouldn't with DJT's dick.
Bondi’s got egg(salad) all over her face!
I'm sure all the MAGA supporters will accuse the grand jury of being lazy and just loafing around.
Incoming Exec Order: Deranged Donnie discharges current DC Grand Jury and issues edict that he will appoint the new handpicked members of all future DC Grand Juries so they aren’t soft on crime. After all, he is the “President” and can do what he wants
Deport the sandwich
🥪 wins!!!
you hate to see it!
Normalize throwing sandwiches
ICE should feel lucky that the worst thing that happened is a sandwich was thrown. They deserve much worse.
I feel it's more of a criminal offense on behalf of fans of sammiches. They are NOT weapons! Then again, as a conscientious objector, I'd prefer food fights over gun fights. Still. It's a sacrilege!
Deliciously diabolical.
No Sammich Control. They will have to pry my sub from my cold dead hands!
Dude! You used my joke! 🙂
You mean the meme? Then yes. We do that. Laurie Anderson is fond of saying, "Language is a virus" and memes are a part of that disease. =)
Paradise is exactly like where I am right now, only much, much better. 🙂
I was talking to a friend. I said, "I wanted you. I was looking for you, but I couldn't find you." She said, "Hey! You talking to me? Or are you just writing another one of those insipid tweets of yours?"
All hail the sandwich! Score: Sandwich 1 Indictment 0
I your response and knew I must follow this person… then I saw I already do…
We equals 😄💙🌺💙
Big day for those believing in the right to carry and use a sandwich.
Sadly, they say that Bondi will charge him with a misdemeanor because that doesn't take a GJ indictment. If they do and it goes to trial I'm hoping the jury does some nullification of its own.
I wonder if they will try to find another grand jury to present to. It shows that the old saying that any decent prosecutor could indite a ham sandwich
In a world full of "stupid shit", this has got to be among the top 10.
These incompetent boobs would be hilarious if they weren’t dangerous
This is the solidarity we need
So you can’t indict a ham sandwich after all?!!!
Wasn't he just offering to share his sandwich?
Now that we know we can use sandwiches against tyranny, we can all start carrying this handy-dandy Subway Sandwich Cannon: youtu.be/uNJ5MftJC-0?...
Oh good. Fuck federal agents
This Administration has the most waste and fraud then anything DOGE cut on lies and misinformation. They are spending whores! And the media? Hello media remember the Epstein files cover up going on? Media where is the coverage on BROWN STAINS health. You had no problem going after Biden relentlessly
I thought you could indict a ham sandwich
A very big FU to the “you can indict a ham sandwich” crowd
lol. Fuck you Pirro.
🥪✊
Headline should be: sandwich guy beats the wrap
Not “nullification” unless the evidence didn’t support the legal charge.
We are living in a circus tent.
Wanted it to go to trial. SNL hoot of the century.
Cannot nullify with a grand jury, just fail to indict
As an attorney for many incarcerated ham sandwiches, I believe you're missing the point.
Forgive my pedantry, I am obviously happy the indictment wasn’t handed issued. Nullification and failing to indict are sufficiently different in my mind so as not to conflate the two. That’s all.
There's no question about what happened, the act was plainly assault, and it was recorded. That seems sufficiently nullification-y to me.
But it certainly wasn’t felony assault, right? I mean the felony is the trumped up bit. He could still catch a misdemeanor charge, right?
This is kind of a parable about the hazards of overcharging.
Part of a series of parables about the dangers of staffing DOJ with unrepentant assclowns.
It's as well it wasn't a club sandwich. That might count as a salt.
this is a good one
I do hope the sandwich thrower has had their sandwich reimbursed
Because it’s so stupid.
Right on! My most memorable case from my stint on grand jury was an ass pressing charges against a person who had just clapped back at him being an asshole. By shooting it down as a grand jury we saved taxpayer dollars litigating a stupid case, and saved the guy who was just standing up for himself
It must have been a veggie I guess 🤷♂️😂
Just look at the meatballs guarding those sandwiches.
Sandwichman - Superhero!
And they say you can get a Grand Jury to indict a ham sandwich.
Let’s get our sandwich game on (tacos work too).
Comedy is legal again
This is how we fight back. We, the People, can choose who gets punished and for why. This is what Trump didn't understand when he faced his own indictments. They're not politically motivated, they are brought by the people, and in this case, the people said no
Happens when the only victim here is the sub.
there’s a joke about indicting a ham sandwich somewhere here
The Hoagies of Freedom!
👏👏🥳🥳
"Submarine Sandwish"
Guess they couldn't indict the ham sandwich...
It was tuna. 🤷
There's a version for throwing at Trump. It's called the Apprentice. No salami, roast beef or ham. It's 100% baloney.
So I guess the aphorism that "you can indict a ham sandwich" doesn't always apply.
Surreal. How did something this ludicrous ever get to a court?
The only real surprise here is they went to the Grand jury. I really thought they would have dropped charges before then.
To be fair though. What a waste of a hot dog.
Frivolous.
Was the Federal Agent wearing his Sandwich Proof Kevlar vest?
Love to see it
All caps? You didn’t have to put so much mustard on it. 😉

I don’t suppose throwing a sandwich will do.
bsky.app/profile/abdo...
this is so twisted
Yes, you are right.
Wow...you would think people would be lining up around the block to punish that person...after all people are starving. 🙄. Yeah, they should get bent for even trying to prosecute that nonsense.
Not surprising that Pirro’s getting humiliated left and right.
nice👌
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I guess he’s just stuck with the dry cleaning bill then. Fair trade. Fame for a cleaning bill.

lol
YAY! Fabulous.
♪♫ I fought the law and the sub won, I fought the law and the sub won. ♫♪
Turns out throwing a sandwich isn’t enough evidence to meat the standard. I remember watching a random dude throw his shoes at Bush Jr. This feels like the same kind of resistance. Lettuce take a mayoment to pray for the wasted bread.
Dá-lhe povo estadunidense!👏🏻👏🏼👏🏽👏🏾👏🏿👏🇧🇷❤️
Power to the Sub 🏆
Apparently, it is easier to indict a ham sandwich than to indict someone who throws a ham sandwich.
If you do a crime do it in DC
Subway could cash in on this if they chose to
A victory for food fighters!!!
Great news.
Grab your footlongs, guys. We're fighting fascism!
So the charge of Felonious deli battery couldn’t pass mustard oh how I relish the thought of a judge calling out this administration for its baloney
LOL. I bet any mayo residue left behind turned quickly in the DC summer. #sad
Just glad the judge didn’t throw the book at him.
Burn it. Burn a Flag.
Do we dare assume this man can go about his life? Dont be surprised if he's stalked by police for the next year, waiting to nail him on something.
Absolutely he will. Bet he has his lawyer on ... remember when having someone on speed dial was a thing? I'm old.
Excellent form of resistance to a police state
Ruled that there is a long tradition of feeding the animals
So…Pam Blondie & Dept of Justus CAN’T indict a Ham Sandwich. Glad to know their cruel incompetence has limits.
ham sandwiches lose their minds
That's great news! Trump is in the Epstein files.
