It’s still more expensive. Kirkland Columbian is about $4 more a bag now at COSTCO. With the 50% tariff on Brazil beans are going to go up like a rocket.
It may be more expensive but there is no comparison; Starbucks and the other chains are generally awful coffee.
Personally I prefer Speedway coffee.
For chain coffee. I make my own blend of whole bean with half dark, half medium, and drink it black and strong.
We have so many DD and Starbucks in our little town and the surrounding areas that it's a wonder how they all stay in business. I drive right by them and go to the small, family run cafes.
It’s almost as if their financial model relies on not paying much in the way of taxes…
I suppose that's one way of gaining profits but I really don't see how they all make enough. There are literally three to four DD within a two mile drive here.
