Middle ground???? Chasing the mythical center is what cost them in 2024 as they alienated their base in their quest to move further right. Sure, they’d lose the 8 moderates or so in the country, but gain millions of people who’ve felt abandoned by the left for several election cycles in a row now.
Dems lost because they chased the 3 extra voters that were left handed albinos, while not showing common sense. This is why they’ll lose again. They can’t articulate basic common good issues and lose to buffoons that talk about BS. It’s sad, but the truth.

I get what you’re saying, but I guess I disagree. They lost the PR battle, which is baffling, because destroying Trump should’ve been a slam dunk. Biden was a liability, Dems hid it, though we all could see it. They lost credibility and somehow lost to someone that has zero credibility.
I partly feel Democrat candidates lose because we don't talk like the common man, they make long articulated speeches to say what could've been said in one curt sentence.
I agree. Obviously we can’t understand how someone could vote for Trump, but when Dems don’t acknowledge there are reasons they lost, they’re still in trouble. Other than AOC, Gavin Newsom is the only true option to take on Trump out in the open. This is worrisome.
I think Pritzker in IL could, but given that IL is blue only because of Chicago and the rest of the state blood red, there may be some thinking that they don’t want to lose a Dem governor in a very precarious state. Hochul may be an option
Good point about Pritzker. He appears to have a backbone and shows true leadership abilities. I’m in NY and Hochul isn’t popular because of some key issues the GOP would hammer them on (Bail/criminals walk free & jamming through a Law banning gas stoves/appliances going forward. She’ll get beat
I’ll agree with this. It reinforces the image that they’re all talk no action. I think this is why Bernie’s bluntness was such a hit and why Newsom being caustically funny may energize the base even if he isn’t the nominee in the unlikely event we have fair elections in 2028
Good point. I worry 2026 is already tainted and 2028 could easily not even be a legit election. When bad people rule, bad things happen quickly.
I have no confidence 2026 will be a legitimate election, but we have to at least try to make it one. That said, we need to be ready for more direct methods of taking our country back from the fash as well, since they’re certain to be necessary before long.
No, it was campaigning with Cheney and abandoning their base that did it. They had no trans folks at the convention, nobody speaking for Palestine.
They abandoned those three albinos but the R's kept telling people that was what they were doing and Dems are all about mushy unclear messaging so the R's message got through.
