my take as an alumni of a school without a football team: every kid deserves to rush the field for any victory they want to celebrate! it’s college, they are 18-23 years old, let them do dumb things and have fun and enjoy themselves! it’s the last time they have to just *do stuff* without worrying!

ah ok. in my 26 years in Charleston I have grown to respect Gamecocks fans because if you’re a legit fan you must really love the school/program bc they seem to always find a way to lose games they should have won and then randomly pull a major upset every other year. this years expectations are

the preseason ranking is wayyyy too high for the fanbase to be reasonable/realistic about. but Sellers seems legit and best player they have had in the 15 years since Marcus Lattimore was the best player in SEC as a freshman before Spurrier ran him into a wood chipper and ruined his knees/career lol
