Fantastic idea, the red states have been receiving reparations from the north for far to long, they're all recipient states, living off of the Blue Donor States.

I would too except for the fact that Texas is indeed slowly turning blue and that is why the republicans are desperate to gerrymander-to hold it off. Those blue dots there need to be honored (& multiplied) for what they are going through.

Y’all do realize there are plenty of Democrats in the state, right? Almost all of the urban areas vote Democratic, the rural folk and all the gerrymandering at the state level are what ruins it.

If Texas negates Democrat voters, isn't that the same result as becoming a territory for those dems? We could take and divide it into two or three territories and watch them grow to statehood!

I'm rural, own/operate a ranch and farm and have voted democratic for the last 32 years in Texas. as @snowbuni.bsky.social says, please don't paint all of us the broad brush - we #resist and oppose #corruption as much as possible, but the deck is stacked. We continue to press for reforms.
