At the end of the day, gun owners are ok with children dying so they can own guns. If any of my hobbies required the periodic murder of children, I'd be ok with giving it up and it being outlawed

Maybe these guys are, but most gun owners aren't. Shooting guns is fun! But plenty of things are fun and if one particular fun hobby of mine meant constant low level death and the occasional mass murder of children, I'd be ok with it going away! It's not worth it! I'd find something else to do!

If watching 82 Wolves games every year meant occasionally a shithead would shoot up schools and outlawing Wolves games would prevent that, I'd be ok with it!

Agreed not every gun owner. But these extremists are advocating that even training requirements to handle a gun safely are unconstitutional.
