People said Dems couldn’t nominate Bernie Sanders because Republicans would attack him as a socialist and then Trump attacked Joe Biden as a socialist anyway even though he was the senator from Delaware the most corporation friendly state for decades. You can’t stop lying liars from lying about you.

and, importantly, the media and pundits didn't laugh this off or take it as proof the Trump was paranoid and the GOP out of touch. Y'know, the way they do when any Dem... accurately describes GOP statements or policies.
