You're the expert here. Spell it all out for us? You might make some sense and convert some people to believe what you're saying. If you don't want to put out the actual comparison stats on real wages or wages vs cost of living over last few years or decades, then🤷🏾♀️
Real wages are wages compared to cost of living. And the median wage has risen since 1980 (and since 2014). You never cited a source but I’m willing to bet your 300% fig was in nominal dollars (ignoring inflation) and the 24% was real/post-inflation indexed dollars
Between these two graphs, we see that $1192 in median weekly earnings today is worth 376 1982 dollars. Which is more than the 314 1982 dollars the median worker was earning in 1982
376/314 =+20% AFTER ACCOUNTING FOR COST INCREASES 1192/314= +276% before tax. So for your alleged “+300% increase number”, the comparable income growth is +276%
