Playing a lot of Deepspace Emporium, which has such a great core loop that made me straight up jealous enough to pick up development again. Decided need to hone in on inventory as sole mode of interaction, then build the game loop around it. #pixelart #picotron #indiedev #gamedev

Oscillating between combat or merchant sim. Jack and Casie is the guiding star for combat, though fear ripping it off. I should focus on a playtest build, and stop tracing more weapons/adding bespoke inventory interactions, but ahh I want reimplement Tetris shape collision boxes. Such is life.

This looks great, these inventory interactions are neat :) Are the "sub"-inventories also based on the same system as the main one?

Yep! Transitioned to using picotron’s GUI library with the rest of functionality stapled on top.
