Here's behind the scenes: Whenever raycaster draws a wall, it constructs it in the out of view corner, then memcpy to the sprite sheet to be rendered. Similar hack for the mixed vertical type on books. Fun taking advantage of the reduced screen size rather than it just being a limitation.

So, it works like a 128x128 regular game, but you apply poke(0x5f2c,3) to low the res to 64x64? And then it looks awesome…

Thanks! The jam makes for an interesting design space being so limited on screen real estate (ofc I choose a text focused game🤷).
