Well I first used army painter satin airbrush stuff as an undercoat but then I used Halfords spray satin after applying the lining and basically that’s when things went wrong

Halfords is pretty heavy duty stuff to be honest. humbrol stuff was really bad also. I was getting cans of something from my local now closed hardware shop.

Ohhh I see. I can’t speak from experience as I’ve not used either product (been on Railmatch for over a decade) but I do know that Halfords changed their paint/varnish supplier sometime in the last year or so and the new stuff isn’t as good, presumably some imperfection with the varnish mix did it?

Tbh I think it might have been the army painters stuff as I’ve used both the same can of varnish and transfers with no issues
