Health Canada has authorized the LP.8.1 variant adapted Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for individuals aged 6 months and older. The updated COMIRNATY® vaccine targets the Omicron LP.8.1 variant, one of the most recently circulating SARS-CoV-2 lineages. It will be made available this Fall across Canada.

I have had both Pfizer and Moderna shots. The only pain I have is a sore arm but thats usually gone in 48 hours. Thats good enough for me. I live in Toronto.
Good. My family will get their annual Covid shots in November. Thank you. None of us have been subjected to Covid in the last 5 years. My sister OTOH has had Covid twice. WHY? Because she hates needles and refuses to get the shots.
Still no Novavax?
I have to admit that while I have few/small issues with mRNA-based vaccines, I am curious to try Novavax myself for my next booster. In fact, I'd like to start back-and-forthing between them, barring sudden improvements.
It’d be nice to have that option! Especially as studies show that Novavax doesn’t wane as quickly as Pfizer/Moderna. Also, our paediatrician said something like: getting both is basically teaching your body to fight the virus in two different ways.
That seems like a good idea to me.

What’s the availability to non-Canadian citizens (i.e. US citizens)? Canada was the insulin market place for the US. Will it be the vaccine one as well?

Where in Canada are you? I was able to get Novavax on Vancouver Island. Have you asked your pharmacist? I asked for it specifically.
Ontario Doug Ford has been denying Ontarians Novavax so they had to resort to paying out of pocket in the🇺🇸 Hundreds organized intel on Twitter to report which pharmacies in Buffalo&Detroit carried NV Our PHO then claimed there was no need/demand for any Novavax💉in ON so they wouldn’t order any🤷🏻♀️

Now it doesn’t feel safe to make a trip to the 🇺🇸 even if they bring Novavax back I can’t be anywhere public w/out an N95 due to my immune issues with Long Covid-so any time in secondary at the boarder if forced to unmask is too big a risk - never mind the instability in general there 😕
Now, people will have to worry about getting detained if they cross the border. 😡
