Right, it hasn't happened but you can't say there's no potential conflict of interest. He has a lot of power to shape perception of the race even if he runs a satirical newspaper.

I doubt the onion will do coverage of the democratic primary for a random congressional race. Their targets are more often the president, incumbent senators and celebrities.
