My dad used to roll his own with Golden Virginia, we used to buy him half an ounce as a present. That’d be 14 quid now! He’d have a fit! If everyone stops smoking how are they going to replace all the lost duty revenue? You know they even put duty on herbal cigarettes 😡 But there’s none on vapes 🤷♂️

Yes like they stopped the sale of packs of 10 cigs. I suppose it’s good as it makes it harder for children to buy but then they allowed the sale of disposable vapes for a couple of quid. Despite their being banned in June put disposable vapes into Google and there’s loads of hits.

My first cig was a Kensitas from a pack of 5 from a cigarette machine! I think they were a shilling, me and a friend bought them between us.

I was quite a good girl believe it or not! Although we did used to go to the pub at lunchtime when I was at secondary school! The make up then was pretty heavy so it was hard to know how old we were, I used to wear 2-1/2 pairs of false eyelashes! 😹

The shop next to my school sold them individually, thruppence each i think they were. I believe they were 4 shillings for 20 then in about 1967. I used to spend my lunch money on them.
