Do we need to form a regiment first and the join the Army of Illinois or will they assign us when we get there?

MN had the first regime in the civil war, so I suppose we should do it again this time… The First Minnesota Infantry Regiment was the first regiment from any state offered for national service in the civil war following President Lincoln's call for troops in April 1861. 📌
