Unfortunately I have worked for several men like this. They don’t last very long because those under him find ways… Watched it happen & helped a few times. Hoping the same for him. Demonstrating authority is their only goal. No real talent or prowess abides in them. Just a big hole.

The problem is that the whole reason he's there is to sabotage the workplace. I'd like to say that doing good work is how to get back at him, but he'd be able to waste your effort. So I guess the best approach is just to check out.
