How long have these kids sat on a plane?
How long have these kids sat on a plane?
(I deleted an earlier version of this post because I've concluded that the discrepancy between the numbers 76 and 600 isn't a cause for concern. The latter is an estimate of the number of children in the entire putative class—those the govt intends to remove—but they weren't all on planes yet.)
it’s sad that we had to even consider it might’ve been an end around.
UPDATE: Judge Sooknanan wants another update at 10:45 p.m. ET to confirm that all members of the putative class of Guatemalan children are back in ORR custody. The presumption of irregularity at work!
Bondi to Ensign: "Don't worry. Pretty soon we'll only have judges who sleep in on holiday weekends."
Thank you so much for sharing all this important information!!
She and her staff, clerks, have been working for almost 20 hrs now. #dhs #ICE #DOJ
I mean, there were the 3 ice planes that flew to Guatemala, so 🤷
Could anyone have imagined a few months ago that courts would need to so order the government to report on their minute by minute activity?
In the motion for class certification, Plaintiffs said over 100 children were being boarded on planes. I suppose 14 or more of them could have final removal orders.
Wow, I wonder why it takes until 10:30 pm to get those children back into ORR custody?
76! The shame of all this.
Is anyone talking about how utterly terrified these kids must be?
Like. Pulling. Teeth.
Okay. Where are the other 630?
Once again, this administration is trying to spirit children away in the dead of night breaking the law that is meant to protect them This administration (or Steven Miller) is determined to make their deportation numbers no matter who it is they deport to make their numbers
So these kids have been in planes or buses for about 24 hours at this point?
Have they been fed? Given adequate access to toilets?
