No problem with it. But you want things available, advocate for THAT.

Preservation and availability go hand in hand though. And with video games, I don't think you can fight for one without fighting for the other. Preservation allows things to be available. Old media is only available if it's been preserved. If it isn't preserved, then it's gone. Lost.
You want to whine about PRESERVATION?! Then you should be up in arms about Kingdom Hearts 1, About Final Fantasy Tactics, about the Gameboy Mega Man collection. But no.. No one is ever upset about them.
man you're directing your anger at the wrong guy. I don't know about those games so I can't speak on them. Im of the firm belief that if a game is no longer being sold then it should become public domain. If those games aren't available, then that's tragic and they should be made available.
No.. Preservation does NOT mean things are available. Nintendo has LOTS and LOTs of their documentations preserved. Doesn't mean you get it. Library of Congress has millions of things preserved. Doesn't mean you get to see it. Even they say "Depends on copy right holders."
Well, then I think we should get to see them. In most cases I'm aware of though, preserving the thing means it becomes available for others to enjoy it. I don't like that copyright dictates who gets to read or watch or play what at any given time. If you disagree, cool.
