Yeah and as always YMMV chapter by chapter. Mostly just arguing that the longest standing divide I've seen in the org is "I want to debate the direction of the org" vs "Yeah sounds great, just lemme know when you want me to show up for a thing that's not a debate!"
Some of the ones running committees tend to be cadre while many who join&quit after about a yr or 2 bc they don't agree with the ends or means(or tone)of the Trotskyites in the small but loud Red Star faction still follow&willingly work on campaigns for dsa candidates they like,Social Dems like AOC

I think I'm generally aligned with your argument here Rose. I also think it's true that "strong opinions about the strategic direction a socialist organization should take" is asymmetric across ideologies. More moderately aligned members tend to avoid these debates and using organizing energy there.
