I don’t think he’s actively working to oust Trump, but I think he was probably involved in the WSJ / Epstein leaks that were designed to weaken him. The GOP has gotten most of what they want from Trump, so they can afford to cut ties with him - just hard to do without alienating MAGA.

He's getting all his vacationing in before he takes over for Trump.
Except when he came over to the UK on holiday, he had cosy little meetings with our worst right wing politicians. Building alliances ready for the takeover? Teaching them from the authoritarian playbook? It made me feel very uncomfortable as it felt like prep work.
Let him take the blame, boot him out, and then quietly continue the dismantling. But with less flair....
