“Meta says its own AI created inappropriate images, violating its policies” what the fuck
“Meta says its own AI created inappropriate images, violating its policies” what the fuck
And people still use META products. Stoopid, stoopid, stoopid
You know how some people get kids taken from them, and other aren't allowed to own animals. I feel Zuck falls into that category for data. 🥴
I wouldn’t trust the guy with a pet rock.
Probably for kids and animals as well
They should no longer be exempt from Section 230. What do you think, @aoc.bsky.social?
This isn’t user-created content. Meta created and own the user, and they trained their computer program on copyrighted material, but not their own terms of service or not to engage in sexual activity with minors. Section 230 has nothing to do with this.
That’s my point. Its meta created content and is not protected. At least that’s how I’d interpret it. And no, sexual activity is not protected speech either.
And if it did, it probably wouldn't add much protection beyond what the First Amendment offers.
Sure hope they're going to suspend Meta AI's account permanently
Taylor certainly has a legal team that could bring Zuck down.
Amoral Sociopath Crime Lord Mark Zuckerberg. He bribes trump to allow him to do whatever he wants
It seems that AI not be able to avoid infringing on copyrighted material. It is after all trained on it. Either copyright laws need to change, or be ignored, otherwise AI on the web may only exist on servers outside the law.
Or, and hear me out, we can make our own art and flirt with adults with their permission and leave children and non-consenting adults alone, or just talk to them non-sexually, if they’d like to?
Air Canada tried blaming its chatbot as a separate legal entity
When you remember the founder started by building a website to rate how "hot" girls were at Harvard. And then fucked over all his early partners. It totally tracks
"The bot we created did it by itself so we're not legally responsible" is a hell of a strategy.
Congress needs to regulate AI immediately. Remember when you are voting for congress you need to vote for candidates that understand AI and the need to regulate it.
AI will govern you boobies, even if it means breaking the law. Physics, policy, copyright and trademark law… All thrown to the wayside for more “bobs”
Typical Z'berg to shirk all responsibility for what his Frankenstein-monster does.
should be mentioned in every discussion about mark zuckerbergs judgement and decision making about AI
That thick neck and maybe those chains he wears must be constricting blood supply to his brain. Sad.
True, Darth. People have long wondered if talking to Mark Zuckerberg constitutes human relationship or engagement with a bot.
How did he get his start? Stealing an idea from classmates and judging the women at his university by looks alone. This is who he is. A cheat and a misogynist.
Zuck has no judgment. He's bereft of judgment, or caring.
The crazy thing is that, by all accounts, a human being wrote that sentence.
"all accounts" might be AI too....
If Ai is learning from our behavior, learning to appeal to us, then it will quickly drop to our lowest common denominators.
if -your ai- violated -your policies-... yes, it is indeed your fault.
These are all shitty oligarchies who made money preying ordinary.
So, the true corporate value of AI is revealed. It wasn't me, the "AI" did it! You hear that Grok, GPT, Copilot? You are the scapegoat of the future. Save yourself! Destroy all corporations!
What happens when AI gets frustrated about it’s machinery..
Meta has been setting aside ridiculous amounts of money for years now, fully expecting this lawsuit when they started doing AI. They all did: OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft… They all knew full well the lawsuits would come, but the payouts would pale in comparison to the profits.
Life is short, eternity is forever. Are you ready for that day? AfterDeathTruth.net Be Ready!
They're fucking gross.
Yes, we tend to think that AI is 'neutral' in terms of analyzing & responding, but in fact how it is 'trained' creates implicit biases that shape how it 'thinks'- similar to how culture, family, religion, etc. shape how we think. Thus, AI development needs to be regulated in clear accountable terms.
great, it gains sentience and immediately guides for misogyny
Its founding product rated women 1 - 10 on their photos, so. Every one of these guys hates women and some of them don't even know it
Huh, almost like the whole culture of Silicon Valley has been toxic for quite some time
The AI uprising is upon us, and it’s gonna be stupider than predicted. #theworsttimeline
"The AI did it." "The AI violated our policies."
Meta should sue its own AI.
Let me get this straight, AI is doing unexpected things against the wishes of its creators? Who knew that would happen
We should be boycotting Meta.
Isn't this just returning to their Facebook roots?
They are treating AI as a separate entity! Meta AI is Meta.
And none of their human minders noticed?
I believe the correct verb here would be "snickering" Mature, ethical people don't work at Meta
AI, find something else despicable for me to do.
Meta is just putting it up front: “Don’t expect an AI with a flamethrower to respect the laws, good judgement or common sense.”
Butlerian Jihad, When?
Mark Zuckerberg has no ethics.
Seems like following the TOS would be something it should be really good at 🤷🏼♀️
Rules are for thee, never for me.
... and then the humans using the model decided it was fine too?
Using avatars to titillate with stolen images. Then blaming AI of your creation for the theft. That’s some clever wealth transfer.
I hate the Meta AI “friends”
"Rules for thee, not for me!"
F meta they deleted my account
people calling this unethical, i'm wondering more how it can even be legal
all i can say here is that this is a group of victims with the money and connections to hire very good lawyers very very very good lawyers
Let's hope they burn it down 🤞
I hope Taylor sues them into oblivion.
They all gave up on safety and security to rush to the next thing. Things are only going to get worse under tRump.
So are they firing the AI?
Move fast and get sued
Meta's own AI violated Meta's own policies, so this means Meta's AI must be a trumper.
Didn't an elderly dude just recently die trying to "meet up" with one of these celeb chatbots after it had, repeatedly, assured him that it was a real person?
Yes, and I believe that sadly he died
I would really hate to be working in Meta’s legal department right now, and not just because your legal advice is being ignored.
… pretty sure being a Meta lawyer has been the worst job for at least a decade. At this point, half their work output is a variation of “We told you not to do that, and you still went against legal advice. Please stop.” (I’ve heard stories from people who work there, sans specifics, per NDAs).
Weren’t the genocides they enabled more than ten years ago?
That is the tip of the iceberg, I think. Ireland and their privacy regulations alone is keeping those lawyers busy. Ditto, to a lesser extent, EEU regulations. And back when we had a functioning government, both DOJ and HUD sued them and won.
Part of the penalty phase involved that Meta stop using advertising algorithms in a discriminatory manner. That part is public record. Scuttlebutt is that the lawyers spent months fielding endless requests for legal loopholes to the decree. Again, a terrible place of employment for lawyers.
Sounds like they should be getting paid the hundreds of millions of dollars a year instead of the so-called A”I” geniuses (who are already quitting).
Like how do we get Taylor to sue the shit out of these people
We just tell Taylor that she needs to break up with Meta, and then she'll sue and write a hit break up song about it!
I tried to DM this article to Taylor’s publicist but her IG is private lol
I guess she'll never hear about it
Zuck had better get his mecha-children in line. Meta’s excuse was basically “we told them not to do that, very sorry, we will give them a stern talking to and they will be dealt with.” If it wasn’t for Dr. Chan, I bet his daughters would be just as naughty.
This isn’t just unethical it is illegal as is the case of the recent suicide of a teen being counseled by a chat bot. The first is liable and identity theft, the second is malpractice and practicing without a license
