This is kind of a bad paraphrase. He actually said there were rifle marksmanship clubs in schools, which is true. But then he goes off on a bullshit tangent about psych drugs, which have NO positive correlation to school shootings.

Darth, I was a kid we went to school around the same time as he is talking about, and I do not remember any of my peers ever bringing a gun to school. I lived in a ruralish area where hunting was common, and not one single child brought a gun to school for any reason.

i went to high school before columbine and nobody was encouraged to bring guns to school. every year hunting season would start and kids would be reminded not to leave their rifles in their trucks or they'd be sent home. these freaks are just fucking liars

Nope. He is deranged. This is nonsense. I was a little kid in the Mid-west in the 70s. No one blithely carried unsecured guns to school for target practice. Didn’t happen. We would have been shocked and terrified, and those kids would have been suspended or jailed.
