I don’t know how much worse it can get. We just stopped caring about each other’s feelings and wellbeing. Now it’s wrong to be empathetic. We are not who we think we are. What nation of integrity would allow a felon to pardon 1500 felons?

That presupposes people accessing this wealth if knowledge understand how to navigate it, fact check what they find, and can discern credible from non credible sources. All skills that have been slowly stripped away from education in the last decade.

Indeed. I was dumbfounded when I realized MY KIDS do not know how to Critically Think. Not at all. I didn't know critical thinking was a skill that was taught. Guiding them as adults to cover what their teachers weren't ALLOWED to teach has been awful, as my kids think they WERE taught.

Republicans have been targeting our education system since the 1980s, at least. Citizens noticed an uptick in crime and teen pregnancy then and they were gullible enough to believe it was "because liberals removed god from our schools". As if the absence of " God" causes those things.
