So you think the indiscriminate carpet bombing of civilians, the attacks on the UN and Red Cross and other aid personel, and the policy of killing journalists - all of which is being enacted by the IDF - are Hamas's fault for not surrendering sooner?

Absolutely. Hamas triggered a war that they knew would bring devastation to Gaza. They hide under civilians and mingle with them knowing they put Gazans in danger. But a dead Gazan is an al Aqsa martyr who is glorious. Hamas could end this anytime. But they will hang in until every last Gazan

So your logic is that it's better 100 innocents die, rather than risk one one of the guilty get away? No matter how you frame it, it's Israel that's pulling the trigger here.

My logic is: don’t start a devastating war knowing that your own citizens are going to suffer horribly. Don’t grab hostages and hide them in apartments unless you want civilians to die. Don’t hide under civilians in tunnels - unless you were planning for them to die.

By your logic, Israel should have just saved some time and dropped a nuke onto Gaza
