I really need people to know how unsexy and not glamorous it is when government is actually functional. I promise we want public servants who are happy with contractor’s white and the Ann Taylor outlet.

It’s just that actual governance, and doing it well, is very very boring. It’s not the stuff of fun tweets. Owning someone on the internet is not effective because it’s not actual governance. No policy is getting implemented. No one is getting the funds they needed.

No one’s life is being changed in any meaningful way by newsome’s actions (unless they’re homeless…), so there is no reason for anyone to look at what newsome’s team is doing with the posting and change their mind.
