Agreed, they can play a part in offering a deterrent. I’m not sure of the legal implications I.e. whether it has to follow police prosecutions, but if not they could definitely partner with 3rd party portals where a lot of riders send in their footage.

Well if they helped, we could see drivers choosing to drive better before police need to get involved. After all insurance companies can refuse to insure those who's a financial liability. And any they deemed a police matter, they could forward to the police.

Seems like something that should be more formalised. Makes a lot of sense and hitting bad/dangerous drivers in the pocket is one of the most effective deterrents there is.
