Newsom has suggested that trans people shouldn't be allowed to transition until 26, has said he completely agrees with the right when it comes to sports, and that's absolutely just an excuse to erase all rights. I have eyes. I saw what happened in the UK when they elected transphobes.

Newsom would legitimize and push anti-trans policy throughout the Democratic Party. It would be the end of the relative safety of blue states for trans people and mean zero chance of getting federal protections. It's worse for us than Vance because it eliminates opposition to anti-trans crackdowns.
