I constantly think about how the other timelines are doing. Starting with Gore as president in 2000. The divide at this branching point feels much more severe than even that one, or the 2016 one. Hard to believe this is the reality most of America chose (or allowed by not voting).
I agree. I would say that's when our intellectual laziness really took over.
Once all of this is over I think there should be a law implemented that all citizens have to vote or be fined. Part of upholding a democracy is participation. We fine people for missing jury duty, we should do the same for this.
