Many concerned educators were in attendance, myself included. Homan is from a community close by. It was peaceful but it’s hard to generate hope in such a situation. While I cannot confirm or deny the rumor is that even the youngest was handcuffed and the agents were armed.

Again, I cannot confirm or deny the details of their arrest but it is widely discussed that all were detained and cuffed by armed agents. In 32 years as a teacher I never expected that I would be rallying with other teachers to support the release of students and families taken away by armed thugs.
