EXXON, WALMART, FORD, CHRYSLER, TARGET, APPLE, AMAZON, and every other company that didn't want to pay you a living wage. Gave your job away. Then paid slave wages to another country. Because 10 Billion isn't enough, 20 Billion isn't enough, 200 Billion isn't enough. You starving is.

There never will be enough. Your starving is just a consequence of their consumption. You are now the consumed.

well that's the art that they do everyday. how to keep people poor BUT not poor enough to not be able to buy things. gain on their desperation, make them seek out loans and favors, make them fight each other, watch them get hurt and take their loot like a zombie you killed in a video game

The ones the GOP has given over 50% tax cuts to ( 1980 top corporate tax 46% - today 21% - 15% promised ) yet 70% of the FULL TIME workers that get federal assistance today work for those same companies.. www.gao.gov/products/gao...

And that right there is the real reason manufacturing will never return to the USA. Not because they can’t do it, but because they are not willing to lose profits.

Just gunna point out that manufacturing in the USA has continued on a normalized exponential growth curve since the Industrial Revolution to present. Yet labor required to do that manufacturing work has declined due to advances in automation and robotics.

The US became a Service economy and no longer is a Manufacturing economy. Things manufactured here are not what they used to be. NC was the home of good furniture manufacturing. Consumers didn't want to pay the prices for the furniture and the factories closed. This is just one example..

If some manufacturing comes back, the jobs will probably all be automated, so no real jobs will be gained. We live in a global economy, which has its advantages. This America First attitude, will end up “America Alone.”

YES &in the EU they complain that they can't possibly ensure that they don't have slave or child labor in their line of protection. But in Germany* they are somehow able to *there's a law that forces companies to ensure that human rights aren't violated in their entire protection line

Any idea why German law is different from the rest of the EU? WW2?

Jo🇪🇺 @rijola.bsky.social

No, this is relatively new & I don't know if others have that too. There was an initiative for an EU wide law. That was temporary blocked by Germany (different Government), I think some version of it went through, but the German one is stricter
